Criminal investigations are conducted on behalf of a defendant and KLS Investigators will act as a key member of the defense team. Our Investigators, who have over 100 years of combined law enforcement experience will evaluate and verify evidence; evaluate police investigative procedures and forensic testing; interview witnesses, conduct surveillance to establish the personal habits, conduct and movements, associations and affiliations of individuals and groups. We will visit crime scenes and search for undiscovered evidence and new witnesses. Our Investigators will work closely with Attorneys to aid in preparing for trial. Omissions and errors made by the police and detected by KLS Investigators can be used to construct a theory of the case that exonerates the defendant or reduces the severity of the prosecution's charges.

The founder of KSL Investigations retired from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) with 31 years of narcotic investigative experience. During her career she conducted undercover and complex investigations dealing with controlled pharmaceutical drugs, such as Oxycotin, Percocet and Vicodin, as well as illegitimate drugs, such as heroin, cocaine and marijuana. The founder and other KLS Investigators also have many years of experience and specialized training in conducting narcotic investigations, surveillance and testifying in court proceedings.

KLS Investigations Group has the technology and nation-wide tracing capabilities to locate individuals who are witnesses, victims of foul play, dead-beat parents, victims of foul play, intentionally missing persons, old friends, relatives and run-a-ways. We also conduct surveillance and undercover operations to go the extra mile to locate missing persons. Public and private databases are scoured by KLS Investigators to obtain records including property ownership, criminal and civil records, marriage histories, driving records, current employer, asset searches and much more.

Specific applications and investigations require the use of covert (concealed) cameras that can record the activities in a certain vicinity without being a deterrent to the activity. We are able to discreetly install cameras in many locations to capture the evidence required to prosecute crimes or to address staff issues. We use only state-of –the art cameras, tracking and communication equipment.

Unfortunately, circumstances, relationship difficulties, or mere opportunity can all lead to unfaithful activities. Through surveillance, KLS Investigation Group is able to document those activities and allow you to make an informed choice as to the future of your relationship. We can obtain videos and/or photographs that will document all activities of all suspects, places visited and the identity of those they meet with.

Often at issue is how children are cared for when in the care of the opposing spouse. Are they eating properly, are they properly supervised, are they left alone, are caregivers using drugs or alcohol when children are in their care. Or perhaps your older family member employs a caregiver, who instead of providing care and companionship, turns out to be a financial predators. The person attempts to take control of your family member's life by gaining access to financial information through power of attorney, for both financial and medical authority or worse yet they try to isolate your family member from you. In both cases, background checks may be conducted on the subject (prior to their employment) and surveillance of the ex-spouse during their scheduled visitation can be conducted to determine if unlawful or improper activities are occurring during the time the child is in their care. Our investigative report will include video and/or photographs documenting the ex’s current lifestyle in which they and the child are living.
